Bairro Alto When the Ginjinha Flows

Bairro Alto is Lisbon's nightlife -- every other door is a bar and the crowd overflows onto cobblestones. The tradition: buy a drink, carry it outside, join a conversation, move to the next bar. Ginjinha (sour cherry liqueur) is the signature. Bairro Alto starts at 11 PM and closes at 3 AM, when the crowd migrates to Pink Street in Cais do Sodre until 6 AM.
